as long as you have the will to live." ~ Yui Ikari
Over the weekend I showed my friend Tom more episodes of the anime series "Neon Genesis Evangelion". If memory serves he's currently up to episode 21. Having already seen the series about 7 or so times (3 of my own accord, the rest as a result of showing others) I wasn't jumping at the chance to watch it again. I had told him awhile back to wait because I knew some others who had expressed interest in seeing it. In this way, I could have them all watch it together, saving me from many reviewings of the anime. Not to say the anime is bad or anything - it happens to be one of my favorites. It's just that some of the series can be extremely psychological and slow... and since I've seen it so many times, I fear someday it will turn into a chore to watch it. Nevertheless, he ended up convincing me to start him on it a week or so ago. And in all honesty, it's been at least 2 years since I've last watched it - so it wasn't that bad. Besides, I got to explain the religious subtleties running rampant throughout the episodes. It made me sound "knowledgeable" for at least a brief while. ::chuckles:: Anyway, at some point, my ears picked up on that quote by Yui, Shinji's mother, and it reminded me of an old wallpaper I used to have on one of my computers. After checking those cds I had found for the wallpaper, I took my search online. Though I found EVERY OTHER SINGLE Evangelion wallpaper I ever used, I just couldn't find this one that featured not only the quote but a very warm picture of Yui looking up towards the sky while Shinji was no older than 3. It took me quite awhile longer, but eventually I found the picture wallpaper sized...just not the picture with the quote. Oh, before I go on - a note. Do NOT use Animecubed for your wallpapers unless you have some serious virus protection up and running. About every 2-3 links will produce a virus trying to install itself. My antivirus firewall killed about 35 before I left the site.
Moving on, I spent a few hours at the local college to sign up for a final class to begin in Autumn. I had also tried to stay for the financial aid line... but it was extremely long. As such, I figured it a more prudent use of my time to arise early tomorrow morning and return there. Hopefully I'll be greeted with a more favorable wait. In the meantime I resolved myself to brush off my skills at HTML coding in notepad and I can barely get a few lines in before I get interrupted by someone or something > <. Usually, by the time I get back to it I decide to do something else... like relax and read my newest Raymond E. Feist book. The protagonists of this fantasy tale are not of my usual liking... but it works well enough. And mages were finally introduced by chapter 6 so I'm more amused now. Even so, I have to get back to that html studying... -_- I guess I'll retry after posting this ::chuckles:: If anyone has ideas for an html site that I could build while renewing my skills, let me know. I find it easier to work on someone else's ideas than my own sometimes. I'm less critical or "insane". ( And yes, I can call myself insane after making a 3d cutout sculpture of a Celtic Cross once XD ) Hmm... maybe I'll make tea again first. Speaking of which, next time I go out I'll try finding this elusive tea mystery girl mentioned. As of late I've tried almost every tea possible... but if it tastes as good as she says, then I would of remembered tasting it. ::chuckles:: And I wouldn't consider you a stalker. I find your presence most interesting. So don't worry as far as that goes ^~
Now about that tea.... and that work ::looks disgustedly at his pile of manuals:: @_@

Yay for journals. I was getting tired of having to type in an identification code.

I won't even dignify that with an answer.
It was supposed to sound mean and evil and stuff...
Ow, my pride?

::sighs and bows lowly::
A friend of mine commented to me earlier about a certain tone in my comments that I was unaware of. After re-reading them, I saw his point and became aware that something may or may not of been misconstrued. As such, if I have offended you in any way, please accept my sincerest apologies.Btw - when I went grocery shopping I looked for your "Shizuoka"-style tea but could not locate it. As far as I can tell it's listed as a certain brand of green tea. Is there a big difference between its taste and the taste of the usual green teas?

-is bowed to?-
Please pay my respects to your friend. I cannot say I was offended, however; a tad surprised - yes; a tad confused - more so. But no wrong is done, thus you need not apologise to me.
My mistake - I should have mentioned it. You will probably never encounter this type of tea in a grocery store. You must go to specialized one; tiny, usually packed-up, keeping tea in large containers and whatnot. It is indeed green tea. Japanese, if you wish to be specific, and among one of the best produced in the world (as a matter of fact all connoisseurs are familiar with it) and it's pretty bloody expensive (although it can be infused up to 3 times). It requires special attention to temperature, infusion time and whatnot, but it's worth it. It's very sweet, has a wonderful taste and a beautiful colour, the aroma is amazing, and the taste lingers from thirty minutes up to an hour after you drink it. n.n

Re: -is bowed to?-
Ah confusion. ::nods:: -_- Yes, my mind is quite frazzled of late - I could try explaining my current state, but I'm not even sure *I* am clear about that myself @_@. As for that tea, I haven't had a high quality tea like that since I attended RIT upstate. Those were the days ^^ It sounds absolutely heavenly though (and would do well to clear my mind I'd think- wish I had some) *_* Have you ever tried the rare "white" teas?September 5 2005, 02:34:10 UTC 6 years ago
Re: -is bowed to?-
And for some reason.. LJ posted it as anon instead of as from me. Strange, as I've been logged in for awhile. ::raises a brow::September 1 2005, 01:08:05 UTC 6 years ago
